As we’ve discussed here before, rabies is a disease straight from the bowels of Hell. It affects the body’s central nervous system, and it’s almost always deadly if people do not seek medical treatment immediately. One of the most terrifying things about rabies is that its incubation period is unpredictable. Sometimes you exhibit symptoms in a few days, and other times it can take years before you know you have it. By then, it’s usually too late.

When symptoms express themselves, physicians can do little more than make patients comfortable. The final days are extremely painful. The following interview with a rabies victim nearing the end of his life is heartbreaking and terrifying.

Among the many symptoms of rabies is a severe aversion to water known as hydrophobia. Those suffering from rabies often experience extreme difficulty swallowing, and they panic when presented with liquids. Watch what happens when this hydrophobic man tries to take a drink.

WARNING: This video is not for the faint of heart.

No one on the Internet knows exactly what happened to the man in this video. Judging by his symptoms, however, the prognosis seems pretty grim.
